The Red Lion
All the food at the Red Lion is freshly prepared, and we strive to source local ingredients whenever possible. Our menu has been thoughtfully crafted to cater to the diverse dietary needs of all our guests. This is reflected in our extensive gluten free and vegan menu.
Our delicious home-made burger, chef’s choice pie and Badger beer battered cod, are amongst the most popular dishes served here at the Red Lion.
Alongside our main menu, we also offer a ‘specials’ and ‘favourites’’ menu with a variety of classic dishes and seasonal options. Within the main menu are light bites for those times when a main meal is just too much.
Food is served:
- Mon – Thurs : 12pm – 2pm then 6pm – 9pm
- Fri and Sat : 12pm – 9pm
- Sunday: 12pm – 8pm

There’s plenty to choose from at The Red Lion, with freshly prepared pub favourites, lighter bites and hearty dishes for bigger appetites. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available across the menu, with a dedicated guide to help you find dishes that suit your dietary requirements.

We have two Buffet packages available and an Afternoon Tea package
- Buffet Package 1 - Available Monday - Thursday £9.00 pp
- Buffet Package 2 - Available Monday - Saturday £15.00 pp
- Afternoon Tea Package - Available Monday - Saturday £15.00 pp
Dining with a larger group? Our 16+ menu brings together a selection of Red Lion favourites to make group dining simple, with starters, mains and desserts to choose from. We can also accommodate some individual requirements with dishes agreed in advance with our chef.
All bookings of 16 or more guests are required to pre order from our 16+ menu.
Sunday Lunch
We also serve Sunday Roasts every Sunday from 12 noon to 8pm
- Beef, Gammon or Pork;
Served with seasonal vegetables, braised red cabbage, carrot & swede mash, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and our meat gravy £18.95 - Mixed Roast;
Both meats, with extra potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy £21.00
Small Roasts and Vegetarian Roasts are also available.
